問:靜坐是不是只是禪修的人的練習呢?

答:不是呀,靜坐適合任何人,靜坐無分年紀,背景;不少歐美的學校也有安排靜坐練習給小朋友。靜坐能讓你平靜思緒,保持集中,回歸平衡的狀態,連結內在的平靜。

過去一年社會有那麼多的變化,社會上確實充斥了很多憤怒,焦慮,壓力;不少人很容易被觸發,容易衝動,沉不住氣;再加上疫情,每人的生活也有到不同程度的受影響,確實是一個艱難的時期。

當你有這麼多擔憂及壓力,當你有很多情緒困在身體內,當你的頭腦有很多雜念的時候,你根本無法好好生活。即使你在一個舒適的餐廳裏,你也只是把食物放進肚子裏,你根本無法享受食物,因為你內裏失了平衡。

恆常的靜坐能令你保持一個平衡,集中,穩定的狀態。你擁有清晰的頭腦,你能冷靜從容地面對生活的一切。你會感受到內在的平靜,喜悦。

Q: Is meditation only for people with spiritual practice?

A: Not at all. Meditation is for everyone. A lot of schools in the West have been teaching children this already. Meditation helps a person to calm the mind, maintain a balanced state, stay focus and connect to inner peace.

With so many things happening in the society in the last year, there has been a lot of tensions and anger around. People get triggered easily. Then covid has been bringing another wave of stress and anxiety.

When you have so much stress and fear, when you have stucked emotions inside, when your mind is wandering here and there, worrying a lot of things, it will be difficult for you to feel joyful even you have all material stuffs. Even when you are eating in a nice restaurant, you will still be stressful and not able to enjoy the meal, you are simply putting the food into your stomach.

Regular practice of meditation helps you to stay balanced, centered and stable. You will have clarity of mind. You will be able to stay calm and deal with challenges with ease. You will be able to connect to the silence and joy within.
